Holy Moly. This kid may make us forget about Yao. My impressions: 1. The kids English skills are way ahead of Yao's. Is more articulate and his enunciation is way better than Yao. 2. He has adapted very well to US culture and life style. 3. Is more outgoing and extroverted than Yao. 4. Won't have the stamina issues that Yao has. 5. A big with a soft touch and range and makes his FTs. Thats worth a lottery pick in any draft. 6. Looks a little frail so great defensive rebounder, I think not. If the guy had the physique of Carlos Boozer, he would be top 5.
266 but he is 6'9. Nowitzki is 245. Gasol is 260. Garnett is 253. So 246 is pretty solid for a young rookie.
That's definitely a WRONG impression. He's pretty quiet, shy, not out-spoken and not as out-going as Yao Ming.....an introvert, rather than an extrovert. That's WHY Yao Ming's advice to Yi was that Yi should open himself more to others..... http://www.jongonews.com/articles/07/0415/12497/MTI0OTcTtFk3Vh8.html
If Yi slips all the way down to our pick would we select him? If we would would he play Small Forward?
If he slips low enough we shoudl trade up to get him. But I don't think his agent wants him on Rockets, his market value will diminish quite bit, since he will be under the shadow of Yao.
oops thought i read disney world, and Yi is big pimping with those clothes. The shades alone probably cost more than my entire outfit right now
If any GM's consider him to the the 3rd best prospect in the draft, like Chad Ford Article says, there is no way he will fall out of the lottery.
