Is it me or do the photos of Yao look like it's bruised? Yikes! Hopefully he's toughening up but those blue-black marks look kinda gross. And looks like the scratches he got in that game last season are now permanent scars... yeesh!

I agree though that his muscles should be more lean instead of bulky.

Wow. Yao needs to do some more bench presses, his chest looks sickly in that first pic. Of course if these pics were taken in early june than they show him after his month off of relaxation. He should look(and be) stronger after his offseason rocket's workout program.

This guy doesn't stand a chance against Yao. It is bad enough that Yao has nasty skills, but it looks like he has a foot height advantage on this guy.

What are you talking about? I just wanna compare the upper body of Yao to the one of Shaq. You are just trying to be funny, right?

    Bad joke with poor taste.

In 2001, China's record was 8-0 including the championship game.
    In 2002, it went 6-1.
In 2003, the 22nd Asian championship is scheduled Sep 3- Sep 12.
They r not gonna play 45 games!

I meant the size of Yao's upper body to his lower body is more normal right now...

very good raging fire, you dont think that if he stayed here and did his workout, which all players should do , and have to do in order to stay in shape, would maybe prevent a collapse in the second half of the season, or do you think all NBA players should go and find them another country to try and win world championships for?

I mean the weights and running is perfect, he cant not do anything this summer, but going overseas is a bit much, and the sorry part is ,...he has to go ...

    from Olajamus Prime:
Completely inaccurate. There are a lot of threads which discuss this from last summer, if you're interested.

That aside, begrudging Yao going home after the upheaval he went through last year is just wrong.

If you want something legitamate to be upset about, there's a distinct possibility Yao will miss most of training camp. It's just bad luck, but I'm damn sure not happy about it.

how tall are the players yao's playing against?

they come up to yao's chin... which would make them around... 7 foot?

when are we going to see these kids come to the NBA? the NBA is so devoid of quality centers.. might as well import more of these 7-footers and train them to be half-decent centers...
