Agreed with both of you. Judging from Yao's words and acts, confidence actually plays an important role in his games, including his free throw. I noticed Yao seemed more excited to demand the ball and more assertive on both end of the court when his teammates show confidence in him even tough he had missed several shots.
Hey, I made a suggestion on Yao's FT shooting early in the season on his BBS, and he is doing what I suggested!
Come to think of it, maybe he and Yao sneak back to the gym to practice FT in the middle of the night.
Dr is right. Most consecutive free throws made 97-Micheal Williams, Minnesota, March 24-November 9, 1993 Also, I don't want to sound like a prick, but .... Most free-throw attempts, none made, game 11-Shaquille O'Neal, L.A. Lakers vs. Seattle, December 8, 2000
o **** . that reminds of the time i went to a sixers-lakers game and some dude yelled out to Shaq " hey shaq for a couple hundred grand and some courtside tickets, I'll teach u how to shoot a free throw". i think he heard him to cause he was pretty close to the floor level.
