Okay... I am going to derail this thread just a little bit, but since you said that picture is a foul..

in the NBA rules for fouling purposes is the hand considered part of the ball like in college?

you can tell how much shorter yao's arm is compared to howards just by looking at his biceps.. if yao is unlucky for one thing itd be his wingspan. imagine if he had the same wingspan as most 7-footers, thatd be sick. dunno if hed have the same shooting touch tho?

So far this year, Yao has owned Shaq, Wallace, and now Dwight. Dwight looked great while Yao was on the bench (after 2 dubious foul calls), but he couldn't do jack when Yao was in. Couldn't score on him, and couldn't stop him. Dwight will not be the best center until he develops a better offensive repertoire, and gets some touch on offense. I'm not sure if you can learn touch.

Just look at my signature. :) I've had this signature since the day Yao had career high at Orlando when TMac was still a Magic.

Why is that a foul? Their arms don't seem to be touching... well, not really anyway. It may have happened before that pic, though.

Yao has 7'4 wingspan, which's as long as Howard's if not longer. but his arm sure looks shorter in that pic.
