if a little sprain like that requires surgury and 3 months off, then you better retire from NBA because a tony parker foot sprain will probably be career ending to yao.

Obviously what the thread opener said is correct. Chron just reported the same story (i.e., the docs first informed Yao to take operation and rest for 3 months, then no operation and rest for 1 month, then 3 days). Anyone who blamed the thread opener owns him an apology.

it's not about the thread opener...it is about stupid chinese tabloid media exaggerating everything about Yao.

    The article is wrong.

It is nothing more than tabloid press that US Media does. US tabloids are stupid in the very same way. This is not worthing of clutchfans.net.

    understand.

    tabloid press about Yao.

    nothing more.

But chron already reported the similar story(operation w/ 3 mon rest ==> 3 days rest), how do you explain that?

Being smarter, and well informed than everyone else does make one feels good.

    Pity on you, though.

Obviously Chron was bought by communist propaganda and started to lie to Americans.

Joke aside, I found Chinese media is far, I mean seriously far more timely than US media about Rockets news, especially about Yao.

It seems to me that Yao was told the worst case scenario (out for a good while) if he required surgery. After review of the MRI they decided that was not the case. This sounds like it was a little bit lost in translation. Keith Jones tells Yao what he may be facing, but that is an unknown until the MRI comes back. When it comes back they get good news.

No, it's not. According to a more detailed report in Chinese media, initially the doctors thought there was a mis-placement of the 'steel needle' the docs put in Yao's foot during last surgery. That's why they thought Yao need to get another surgery to put that 'steel needle' into right place. Of course, they were mistaken.
