Damn I wish this was a better resolution. That guy he faced first looked like Corey from Trailpark Boys.

I wish I would wake up tomorrow in an alternate universe where Yao never went down and we won a chip in 2009... :(

I would trade all the 99ers for Yao’s foot to be healed

JVG hired Patrick Ewing to mentor and coach Yao to be like Patrick Ewing.
JVG essentially turned the Rockets into the old Knicks with his style of play.

Rick was the better coach for sure. Only Tmac fans think JVG was the better coach

Yao's body couldn't keep up with his spirit and determination to be great.

I would think numbness in the foot would impact his ability to run and catch, and land, because the signals to the brain would be slow or non existent.. Additionally sounds like he would have a hard time healing any future foot injury. He should be able to walk just fine. But gotta think athletic coordination would get clumsy and steadily decline. Numbness in the foot think is underestimated.

This statement is ridiculous, or onlan9 as we call it. How do you trade something you doesn't care for for yao's foot?!

You should trade away yourself and be banned from this forum. Then the majority of us will be happy.

I wonder why Yao never attracted the same kind of toxic fans that Lin did, since he was also a pretty popular Asian basketball player. guess the era (and social media) was different

His foot anatomy was the ultimate problem. Extremely high arches or high arches in general on a more than 200lb person don't work out very well.

Well most of the toxic fans couldn't relate to him. They literally thought of him as a non-saavy in the mainstream way of life. Lin grew up in the West. I like Lin but think his decision making is questionable at best. His lack of shooting killed his offensive game and hampered everything else since he spends so much energy just running around so much. I wish him the best though.
