Yao Ming and Brandon Roy will be facing off for Player of the Month for the Western Conference http://www.nba.com/video/channels/a...a_dec_nom_yao1.nba/index.html?player=whatsnew They've made videos for Yao, Roy and the others for the Eastern Conference. Here are their stats for December: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/splits?playerId=1722 Yao Ming: 22.7 PPG, 10.2 RPG, 1.9 APG, 2 BPG, 53.8 FG%, 3 TOPG http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/splits?playerId=3027 Brandon Roy: 25.8 PPG, 5.2 APG, 4.9 RPG, 1 SPG, 48 FG%, and 2 TOPG Houston Rockets: 10-5 in December Portland Trail Blazers: 8-6 Record in December
Neither seems to be a very good candidate. Who nominated those two? If this is just Western Conference, you have these players who are more worthy: Nowitzki: 10-4 record, 27.8 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists Paul: 10-3 record, 19.4 points, 11.5 assists, 3.1 steals Duncan: 11-4 record, 20.7 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists Bryant: 11-4 record, 28.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists The Rockets have played an easy schedule in December. 10-5 is pretty underwhelming.
Oh too bad, I voted for Yao since he did lead a better record and that since Brandon Roy was injured in the Celtics game that the Blazers ended up winning will hurt him. But since he had that 50 game performance against the Suns, that may get him the nominations.
Three straight 30 point games, having a 10-5 record in the month is a pretty good reason why. Stats aren't everything otherwise Al Jefferson would be winning MVP.
What a vitriolic HATER of Yao Ming. Question: Why do such VIRULENT Haters of Rocket Players come on this msgboard? They should be banned.
3 straight 30 point games is a stat, isn't it? There are a number of teams that had a better record than 10-5. And these are the Rockets wins: Atlanta at home Golden State on the road Denver at home Sacramento at home Minnesota on the road New Jersey on the road Utah at home Milwaukee at home Atlanta and Denver were the only good teams we played (Utah was missing Okur, Millsap, and Boozer) that we beat. And take a look at some of the losses: Memphis on the road Clippers on the road Cleveland on the road New Orleans on the road Washington at home Three of those losses are just inexcusable. Really, I just was not impressed at all with how the team performed this month. Yao was playing well since his more recent funk the last week or so, but he was not the best player in the Western Conference.
Hey just curious are you Pryuen? the loud mouth, red text, emoticon abuser, Yao obsessed fan? You type kind like him lmao
LOL oh I just notice you said I hate all rocket players. Not true, I just don't worship Yao Ming like you do buddy. LMAO and you turn around and try to make me look like a rockets hater nice nice keep trying your comments amused me.
This is my first CF.net account actually. I've been a lurker for many years before this year but didn't actually get an account until recently. I remember for a while clutch closed registration to the forum maybe because of the overload of new users or something like that.
