According to an article i read Yao Ming has hurt his hip in practice, and has to ease up on his practices. Unfortunately i forgot which source this comes from as i have read so many.

I've been searching around the internet but I can't find an article that says that.

That would suck if we drafted this guy and something happend where he could never play again or somthing like that. Does anyone know if that's ever happend before with anyone besides Len Bias?

C'mon. Len Bias was a TAD bit different as was Reggie Lewis, etc. Stuff happens. We can't worry about that.

If you want a better comparison, Ralph Sampson and Brad Daugherty each failed to meet their potential due to serious injuries, but compare that to the hundreds of other players for whom injury was not a factor.

What I mean is a team basicly being completely screwed out of their pick because their pick gets seriously injured. I mean what if we pick Yao and he gets in a car accident two days after we pick him. We wouldve wasted our pick on him and we would have to wait until next year to get another good pick.

That could happen to any team with a draft pick.

After what happened to Darryl Kile, and what almost happened to Cincinnati Reds reliever Gabe White anything can happen. But I agree with you. That's a one in a million thing.

I probably should know this, but what almost happened to White?
