The Cavaliers reportedly have a deal in place for Troy Murphy, should they fail to land Amare Stoudemire. The Pacers have agreed to take back Zydrunas Ilgauskas and J.J. Hickson, the same package they are dangling for Amare. There is still chatter about Antawn Jamison being traded, and the bottom line is that Cleveland will have a new PF before the Feb. 18 deadline. If you own Anderson Varejao, start scrambling. http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-nba-notes15-2010feb15,0,2607531.story
Not really. He's in Memphis with the team. Nash was on Dan Patrick this morning... look up the interview on his site. Steve sounded sad though and said he knows all the trade talk of Amare is a business move and not a basketball move. Listen for yourself though

In this case I meant Cleveland's chances. Obviously there's still time until Thursday, but many in Cleveland feel if it doesn't happen today the chances go down dramatically. There's another strong Jamison rumor that just popped up. Conversely an insider swears Amare will be a scratch tonight even though he's listed to play.
Major momentum shift today. It doesn't sound like Miami came up with anything better and this could be Phoenix's best deal. Cleveland.com reports it could be thisclose to happening any moment now.
WojYahoo: The Suns have told Amar'e that he is playing tonight against the Dallas Mavericks, suggesting no imminent trade, sources tell Y!.
It seems to me that the Cavs can get any one they possibly want. They can trade the crappiest players they want and get good productive players in return. I feel like teams just want to give away good players to the Cavs. Like the Wizards trade. The Cavs gave away Big Z away for a younger all star caliber player in Jamison. At least the Cavs should give up more than just big z for Jamison but they were able to keep Hickson too. What's next? The Cavs trade Daniel Gibson for Chris Paul?
