Exactly. Even though I'm very anxious to get rid of Tracy, I'd rather Morey take his time or just keep Tracy on the DNP, than get a bad deal.

Do the Rockets get to collect on Tracy's insurance policy, even though he's played already and claims he's healthy, even though the Rockets disagree?

BTW, I do like the idea Of Iggy coming to Houston.

Rival GMs trying to lower McGrady's trade value. What a surprise?

Would you want to pump McGrady's trade value, if you are pursuing him?

There's just not enough time in the world to be worrying about some other dude....and what he's thinking or has to say about mcgrady

I just want the T-Mac era over. If we don't trade hime we get nothing right? I'm sure we can get some goods for him . . .

Well, at the moment, there is probably more to cycle through than usual, b/c of all the "rumors" swirling. It was in a T-mac thread, which one, I dont remember.

But there are many more teams who will have more cap space than us. Our best option is trading T-mac.

He might not be traded, but that will only be because Morey decides that the deals being offered are not as good as letting him expire.

If we let him expire it might turn out to be like a Carlos Boozer type situation where he goes works out, sees his not going to get any playing time, comes back and begs to be in on the team and plays. Boozer had the same problem it hink got shopped noone wanted and now his playing

I highly doubt either of the execs are as brilliant as DM.

This is why I won't write T-mac's obituary as a Houston Rocket.

Remember that it was T-mac who walked away. The Rockets told him he was free to practice with the team if he so chooses.

Don't think he will ever don a uniform again?

Fast forward to March. T-mac's has another 2.5 months of working with Grover. Bored of working out in Chicago and not playing basketball - what's he going to do?

What do you think he's going to try to do?

Love him or hate him, if he doesn't get traded.....

I honestly don't see what 7m will buy next offseason. I mean, look at the 2nd tier guys and i doubt any of those guys will sign for less than what hedo signed for.

I just can't see him DNP the entire season. It's all quiet on his front now, if those goes on for a longer time, don't be surprised to hear him open his mouth, and start complaining. That's a distraction for this team, maybe not to the players, but all the media and hoopla around the Rockets. He's done with Houston, but I highly doubt we just sit him. It looks bad on our organizations part, creates a distraction, and we don't maximize on his contract.

    you said that before....

    ...and were wrong.

I nor anyone else knows what will happen if T-mac doesn't get traded.

I hope he does get traded at this point. But if he doesn't, he may rejoin practices, and if he does that, you just never know what might happen next.

No, I didn't. I said they would play him...and he would complain about not getting his touches, or his role would be unsatisfactory.

Teams do not send people home, or agree to this situation and then reverse course.

Can you name one instance in NBA history where teams and a player parted ways and they came back and played?

    Marbury, Tinsley, who else?

Never sent home by a team under contract.....

And I hope like hades they do sign him, we need his scoring ability badly.

I just can not think of one situation in NBA history where a guy and the team agree to part ways, and to try to trade them.....and suddenly have a change of heart.

Most of the time, if there is not trade, a buyout....
