Not having looked at the list, I would guess:

    1. Utah
    2. Utah
    3. Don't go to Utah, Utah sucks
    4. Lakers
    5. Spurs

What's that you tell me? There's a team north of us? Sorry I only seem to remember grasslands and Nebraska in that direction.

i would have to question your rockets fandom if you didn't have a problem with seattle.

Is it true you actually need to be fighting for championships to have a "rivalry"? I mean, do the Clippers, Warriors, or Hornets have rivalries, too? Would the Lakers be surprised to find out they have a rivalry with us? Is the fact that the Sonics, Jazz, and Spurs were mentioned as rivals simply looking back at ancient history?

    1. Utah (no explanations)

    2. Los Angeles (This rival is old, at times intense here and there; think late 70s, Kermit Washington, then to Jabbar vs. Malone; skip to 86 WCF, that was intense, yet short series. It settled down kind of the Lakers were just better than Rockets, and the Rockets flew past the Lake Show (after showtime). Shaq, then came to LA and had some more battles with Olajuwon. Later, Shaq battled Yao, he left LA. Then, here comes 2009 Western Conference Semi-Finals, Rockets put up a dog fight against the arrogant Lakers.

    3. Seattle (This is one of our real rivals, we have had alot of intense games with them since the early 80s)

    4. Dallas (It's overexaggerated a little, it really wasn't that big before the 05 playoffs).

    5. Toss up (Boston would make a claim to it just as well as the Spurs or Suns)

    It probably stings more for us, because over the last 30 or so years(outside of Celtics), we've been eliminated by the same 4 teams: Jazz (85; 97;98; 07; 08) ; Lakers (90;91; 99; 04;09) ; Mavs (88, 05) ; Supersonics (82; 87; 89; 93; 96)

Since, the Rockets have been in Houston, the Celtics have eliminated them 5 times from the playoffs (74; 80; 81; and 86)

In our 26 playoff appearances, we've been eliminated by the 5 teams above 21 times, collectively. Most of our infamous brawls have also come against those teams above.

This should be a poll in case it's ever a question on Family Feud:

    1) Jazz
    2) Mavericks - due to the Houston vs Dallas in state rivalry.
    3) Lakers
    4) Spurs - in state rivals yes, but I don't loathe San Antonio, where I wish
    Dallas was ceded to Oklahoma.
    5) Sonics
