Yeah I figured that out after I actually read the article. At first glance I thought it was just the titanfall deal that all people who bought the bundle got. My mistake! In general though, Microsoft treats their early adopters like ****. I've been an early adopter for a lot of things (MS and not). The surface, WP7 and 8, Windows in general, the xbox, the list goes on. Outside of the Windows family, it actually hurts to be an early adopter, my nokia lumia 900 stands as a testament to that.
Why would the ESRAM even be the bottleneck anyway? It is the DDR3 that is the bottleneck. I guess faster/larger ESRAM (or maybe EDRAM) might have been better, but it isn't exactly the problem. I hope that isn't one of the more "intelligent" posts on the Xbox forum.
been watching Twitch streams of our Madden league games. Very smooth. You do need a good connection though.
Guys I can't seem to add an account. First time with an xbox and it keeps bringing up error messages when I try to "add account". I don't know what to do considering that it won't let me do anything otherwise.
For those who hooked up your cable box to the console, are there any negative effects for doing this? For example, loss of picture quality, picture delay, console heating up, etc. I don't know how I feel keeping it on all day Saturday and Sundays while watching football.
Wow... I just got back from a friend's lakehouse where he had an Xbox One, and playing on that thing was just awesome. Definitely will be getting one this summer.
I haven't noticed anything different at all. Picture is identical. If anything I think my surround actually sounds better, but I'm not sure if that's even possible. I don't notice it getting hot but at the same time I never really go next to it and it's also just sitting on a shelf in the open. Having my cable box hooked up was the sole reason I chose to buy the xbox one, if it didn't work well I would have returned it.
I've kept it on for days and it doesn't overheat really. I don't see how it could since it's not processing anything.
Mine doesn't overheat. I think you'll be fine keeping it on. The Xbox One was meant to be used heavily. As far as picture quality goes, I think it varies. I haven't noticed much of a difference with the TIVO box I'm using right now. But I did notice picture quality to be slightly worse when I had DirecTV's box hooked up to it. I didn't notice any delay.

No kidding. The lack of these types of apps at this point sucks...especially when you give them up once you replace the 360 with this. And, no, I don't want to run both consoles. Also, hard to believe they don't have Dolby Digital surround support in an update yet???
