Taken from another board: I'm not getting one, but this appears to work from what I can tell (shows up as $307.51 after shipping charges). I think there have been a couple of other deals for the 360 recently (around $350-$360 IIRC) in case this doesn't work.
Cause he is a Sony w****!! Nah, I'm just joking! Thanks again for all the info you share on here, RC.
Perhaps I should clarify that statement by saying that I'm not getting one right now through this deal. Perhaps later on down the line I might end up getting one, although chances are that I'll probably stick to the PS3, PC, and maybe the Wii. So far, the only real killer app on the 360 that would make me buy it would be something like Oblivion, and I already have that for the PC. Gears of War and a couple of other future exclusives (Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, etc.) seem interesting though (not sure if they’re MGS4-type interesting though). I love games, but that doesn't make it any easier to justify purchasing all this stuff. I can barely keep up with all the gaming goodness available on the systems I have right now.
Well, aside from the fact that PS3 looks to cost a fortune and I already have a PC. I'm done buying Sony hardware... My 3rd PS2 just crapped out on me. DONE!
i knew the price would drop right after i purchased one. and sure enough it did, the next freakin day
Hopefully you don't have the same problems with other consoles. I know I've read that a few people were already on their 3rd or 4th 360s just ~6 months after it launched. I think most of them were replacements from MS though, so it wasn't all bad. I can't imagine what it would be like to spend $600 on a PS3 and then have it crap out soon after that (w/o a warranty). If/when I buy one, hopefully I'm as lucky with it as I was with my PS1 and PS2.
No, it is the video output... I tried other cables and made sure the TV input was working. The first that broke wouldn't read the disks but I didn't know you could fix it back then, I did hear something about sending it off to Sony but I didn't have a reciept and didn't look into it all that hard. Odd that despite different problems, they all lasted roughly 14-15 months.
i dont think stores take these things back after the box has been openend. oh well, cant wait to get my copy of ncaa 2007 tomorrow
There is another deal at Overstock.com, although it isn't as good as the previous one. From the CAG Forums:
