Do you need an HDTV to appreciate the X-BOX 360 graphics? I am planning on buying an X-BOX 360 and I wanted to know what kind of TV I should purchase.

    boooo to the xbox.

Yea the reason we were forced into the "next-gen" era is because of HD. If you want to get your money's worth you need to get your hands on a HDTV. Ask anyone who has made the move, it's amazing.

I got a 32 LCD from Sams for 700. THat's really affordable. Vizio makes good TVs and they are affordable. 700 for a PS3 and Blu-Ray. Movies in HD are amazing.

He didn't mention, or ask, about Sony.

Quit giving us a PS3 commercial.

blah blah blah blah. I made small mention of it and talked mostly about high def games and recommended an HDTV to the guy.

At least I contribute to the thread.

dude, you dont have an lcd tv, you have an lcd rear projection.
bulbs do go out like they do on dlps. its normal after a certain number of hours. you have to replace them every 2-3 years based on how much tv you watch.

    get an xbox360 elite
    http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/xbox360elite/default.htm

plus you can get a nice hdtv with it.

i download some hd movies off xbox live, awesome quality, just as good as bluray/hddvd.

a tv, totally depends on your budget, your use, and size of your place.

i have a sony tv. i've been really happy with it.
