Or is he just an idiot? LINK He uses "wuz" not once, but twice. How does this make it past an editor?
1: How the heck did this guy become a writer? 2: Don't they proof read? 3: What the hell wuz they thinking hiring him?
I can understand him using "u" instead of typing out "you." But wuz is three letters just like "was." lol so i dont get why he went out of his way to change the spelling when it doesnt shorten anything, you might as well spell it right.
"NBC Sports contributor Alan Abrahamson brings a wealth of knowledge to his coverage of the Olympics and the sports world."
"We wuz robbed" is an expression like "Ya gotta believe". I question the wisdom of using it in a formal article, but I have no doubt it was intentional.
I can see you using it ONCE, but TWICE? That just seems like overkill or stupidity. Nevermind the subjectivity of the phrase.
