it's been said before. but at this point that may be the worst draft in the last 30 years for the NBA and that includes two guys that have a high chance to make the hall of fame. craziness.
I don't know. 2013 was pretty bad, and the 2000 draft, in my mind, is probably the worst draft in the modern (post merger) era- if not all time.
The 09 draft class looks great IMO... Curry (All star, MVP, champion) Harden (6th man, All star, MVP runner up) Griffin (multi all star) Derozan (all star) Holiday (all star) Teague (all star Evens Lawson Jennings Green Carroll Gibson Rubio Hill Collison Mills Bev Are all pretty damn good players. + There's a whole bunch of role players like Budinger, Thornton, Douglas, Hansbrough, Henderson etc that are still in the league. Deep and has star power, good draft class IMO.
This came out of left field to me. I thought you were wrong but we are talking about another Euro player who has yet to come over the NBA, so I looked. We didn't draft this guy. The Spurs did. He was actually on their roster. The following is from Wikipedia: "On 13 July 2012, he signed a two-year deal with the San Antonio Spurs.[5] During his rookie and sophomore seasons, he had multiple assignments with the Austin Toros of the NBA D-League. de Colo reached the 2013 NBA Finals with the Spurs, but the team lost to the Miami Heat in seven games." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nando_de_Colo
You're right, I remember what it was. San Antonio got that pick from Houston x On July 12, 2007, San Antonio acquired a 2009 second-round draft pick, Vassilis Spanoulis and cash considerations from Houston in exchange for Jackie Butler and the draft rights to Luis Scola.[75] San Antonio used the 53rd pick to draft Nando de Colo.
lols, this is the third thread in the past year on this...second in two days. Since you mention players like James Johnson, then Earl Clark was in the Rockets fall training camp last year. But, since you're a member and can't Edit your list, we probably need a better list now.
Diamon Simpson from 2009 class was once given a non-guaranteed contract, and then was never heard from again. (He was never heard about to begin with). Morey just giving out 2009 charity signings
It's amazing how many capable players there were even deep into the 2nd round. Then, there's Thabeet... one can only imagine how good the Grizz could have been had they chosen differently.
We are lucky to have the best player in the 2009 draft. Blake is very good, but James is even better than he is.
