OKC is an up and coming team.. there's no way they let their franchise player get away. They'll do whatever it takes to keep him. And just checked hoopshype...he's signed until 2011, 2012 is a qualifying offer.

Sorry but this is a pointless thread...he's not a FA next year and there's not way OKC lets him get away.

We must have a lot of idiots on the forum. ;)

Seriously though, I remember the ridicule KD got from many members his rookie year. It was understandable. Last season very few changed their minds because of the Thunder's sorry record. "KD is just putting up a bunch of points on a bad team..." Their 3-29 start was due to PJ Carlesimo letting the inmates run the asylum. Scott Brooks isn't exactly an authoritarian, but he brought some order in the court. Plus the players actually listen to him.

People who haven't changed their minds about KD this year are just biased or ignorant. Both he and the Thunder and so much better it isn't funny. If they would play defense every game, I would guarantee you they would finish ahead of the Rockets. Unfortunately, their youth rears it's ugly head too often. At this point it's probable they finish above .500, but I want to see how they handle the dog days of late January and February. That part of the season can be a graveyard for young teams and young players.
