Watt is better, but Luck is more important, because QB.

As someone who played football with Andrew Luck in high school I can say you trade the whole damn team for him and then rebuild around him. He is the real deal and will be a HOF QB and considered one of the all time greats by 2025.

I love JJ, but yes. Yes, I would.

That being said, the fact that this question is even debatable is a testament to JJ's greatness.

It's kind of like how nobody second guesses the Rockets for passing on Michael Jordan. That's a testament to the greatness of Hakeem.

    Pretty much this.

I'd love to say no...but I can't. Take Luck off that team and Indy goes 2-14 (they'd still be better than Jax). We had a prime JJ and went 2-14 because of qb play.

Watt is a once in a generation/GOAT type player if he keeps this up or even improves. I would keep him. Luck is amazing but there are multiple QBs close to him. I think the chances of acquiring a top tier QB are a lot better than finding another Watt. Plus I love JJ Watt.

That's not an argument to take him over Watt. The question is one of replacement. There are more QBs of Luck's caliber than there are DE's of Watt's caliber.

In fact, there are zero DE's of Watt's caliber while there are several QBs better than Luck.

Defense wins championships and there is no other player like Watt. Some Texans fans are blinded by QB desperation, but no way would they do the trade.

    Spot on.

Look no further than our last game. How the hell were we in a position to win that?

Our secondary couldn't tackle and were repeatedly out of position.
Our offensive line looked like Keystone Cops trying to block.
Our special teams had their ******* heads up their asses.

All of this and we were still in a position to win. How? Because of JJ Watt and a QB that by and large was doing his job.

    Trade JJ Watt? b****es, Please!

Yeah Watt is once in a decade type of talent. Try to name defensive players(any position) of the last decade that had the same impact on a game as Watt. Now try naming QBs that have been as good/better than Luck. That should tell us all we need to know. People voting yes only because our QB is below avg to put it nicely. Yet we had a chance to beat Luck and Colts on that last drive. How? Because...WATT.

Which team has more talent, Indy or Houston...?

Now if you put J.J. on Indy's team and put Luck on the Texans (with Foster, AJ, Nuk) _ which team do you think does better...?

That's more a function of Fitzpatrick sucking.

Add Schaub from 4 years ago and we'd go 11-5 easily.

Since Watt vs Matt Ryan turned out to be so embarrassing, I guess this thread had to be made.

    That's not what I asked...

I asked which team do you think has more talent...?

And if we switched J.J. and Luck which team do you think will do better...?

Colts have TY Hilton, Reggie Wayne, Hakeem Nicks, and Ahmad Bradshaw. We may have bigger name stars but they have more depth.

As far as your second question....any team with Fitzpatrick is probably gonna suck.
