Do you forget who our GM is?

On that note, I would make this trade in a heartbeat. Btw, I hate how the Colts keep getting lucky when they have the #1 pick. Manning then Luck.

I'd trade anybody for a top 5 QB under thirty years old, wouldn't have to be Andrew Luck. The same question was asked of Matt Ryan a while back and I'd probably do that trade too.

Without a franchise QB you're done before you ever really got started.... count the years we wasted for AJ80; that's almost over with. Now we can start counting the years we are wasting for JJ, I'll give you the Schaub years cuz up until last year we were at least playoff bound. This year is year one, as no effort was made in acquiring your QB.

As if Luck does have one? As if Brady has one? As if Rodgers has had one all these years?

The whole "Texans don't have an offensive line" argument when talking elite qb hypotheticals is laughable. A lot of posters here do not watch other teams, so they're ignorant of the fact that most QB's deal with defensive heat. It's not their fault, but it would be nice if they stopped talking in absolutes when they wouldn't know a franchise qb if he came up and smacked them in their enlarged heads.

The offensive line theory is mainly a justification to excuse the QB's poor. This justification is used to save face after propping up Fitzpatrick. Similar justification is done to excuse Clowney's latest injury by blaming the field. While there probably is some truth that lies in both theories, said theory will be overused to perpetuate said position.

It's a reality the Texans have avoided for 13 years now.

In what way? Luck has been the only can't miss QB in the draft I can remember. The Colts would never have taken a #11 and a #1 for that pick.

Luck hasn't had a good offensive line since he's been in the NFL... As a matter of fact I believe Indy had 2 new starters on their offensive line when they came to Houston. San Diego has had 3 centers play already this year. There are several QB's without a good offensive line.

Indy would laugh and hang up the phone anyway.

    Hmm, to name a few:

    1) Saying 'no' to Peyton Manning
    2) Not drafting Russell Wilson
    3) Not drafting Teddy Bridgewater

Keep Watt and get a Russell Wilson/ Kaepernick type QB instead.

    That's the best bet.
