Outside Richardson from Bama no RB jumps out to me as a game changer. With teams like Indy and Seattle in desperate need of a starting RB, if they offered two 2nd rounders for Tate would you trade him. He has shown to be an every down back. When Foster is 100% he didnt see the field much, and once we resign Foster to a long term deal he knows if he wants to play he must go elsewhere. I doubt anyone would offer a 1 but I definetly see offering two number 2's.
Name a running back who has ever gone for two second round picks. I'm curious if that has ever happened.
Maybe not but why would a team roll the dice and draft one in the second this year hoping he pans out when they are almost promised Tate will. He was a two last year.
I'm sure the most the most Tate would go for is one #2 and I'd rather keep him. This is a deep RB class, it's more the devaluing of the position around the league that will keep more than a couple RB's from going in the 1st round than talent level.
for two 2nd rounders? For sure. No way a team gives up that much for him though. I mean, we got our starting QB for that much.
Herschel Walker: 3 1st rounders 3 2nd rounders The trade had more involved, but there you go. Ricky Williams: Entire Saints 1999 draft A 1st and 3rd in the 2000 draft Later the Dolphins traded 2 first rounders plus 2 additional picks for Williams.
This guy will be a gem for whoever picks him up this draft. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...2-results-lamar-miller-sprints-up-draft-board http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/7408/lamar-miller If the Bengals have the guts they should select him in the first.
DUH! Two second rounders for our backup running back? Every. single. time. We picked up our starting OLB in the second round last year. Starting OLB >>>>>>>>>>>> backup running back.
Absolutely. Decent backup RBs are not that hard to come across and you can get some pretty impact-full players with two 2nd round picks.
The Kubiak Texans track record with finding decent RBs has been underwhelming, at least until lately.
signing FA RBs, yes. But i'd say they have done pretty well by drafting for the most part. I mean, Slaton was a monster until he imploded on himself and Tate is obviously more than solid. Their biggest mistakes were signing old RBs and hoping they would work
We have no faith in Ward? Rocket River I say yes. . . .I think a second rounder would be as good as tate
That's a no-brainer. Can you imagine this team with ANOTHER Brooks Reed and DeMeco Ryans?? 2nd rounders are starters usually, and you're talking about adding 2 of them for the price of a back-up. We can draft Tate's replacement, and still have an additional pick if need be.
Pretty sure Ward is a UFA and will get paid elsewhere. We don't have the money to worry about 3rd string. Keep Fostate together, keep the defense elite and keep Schaub healthy.
From my understanding Ward was re-upped last year and would have to be cut to be a FA as I believe he would remain on the roster for next year.
