I know this is a big wtf? Thread but if you got a offer like Marcus Smart, #4 , #31 from celtics. Or even better picks.
Hell no. He was 2nd in MVP voting last year. Do you know how unbelievably hard it is to acquire a player like that?
would add that Harden's ISO heavy offense makes it even harder to build a championship team around him. What players do you get and keep motivated to play with a disinterested defender who, by far, relies on isolation plays to score and is a team's leading scorer? You either have to change the horse's style or change horses. And Howard is another conundrum management should have seen coming. His game has always been more about athleticism than skills (shooting, post moves, etc.). That doesn't normally get better with age and injury. So, now they probably have to move him even though he's played ok when healthy because it's tough to give him another max contract.
trading harden isnt an unthinkable idea to me, at all. but this offer isnt good enough. replace the #4 pick with the #1, maybe.
LeBron, Durant, and Curry are the only players I'd consider but there teams would never trade them... just like us with Harden.
No I literally blame this entire season on JB being a r****d and almost purposely causes us to lose with his rotation, crunch time piss poor decision, and his gay lover Corey Brewer
DaDakota, what would be a good offer? I mean #4 pick is pretty value or am i wrong? They said Marcus Smart could be the next Wade 2 years ago.
Maybe throw in Avery Bradley and the #16 pick? Marcus Smart,Avery Bradley, #4,#16. #31, rights to a foreign player?
This is a star driven league. No way Morey will ever trade him unless he's getting one back. Also, those are horrid trades. Are you a Celtics fan OP?
Will only cause morey has ties with Boston, and you think about all them picks they have, if you traded harden, wouldnt you want to rebuild threw the draft, what better team, to do that with. I mean its not like you can get lebron James and the #2 pick for harden via a three team trade. I understand about star driven talents, but you can always fine one in the draft.
