Eh I think Leonard proved to be their best big man option. As crazy as that sounds. Depth would have helped but they still aren’t beating GS.
So Nurkic is the reason they can go from 0-4 to 4-2 and make up a 38 pt differential. Interesting, I dare say he's the best player in the league if what you say is true!
9/10 times the team that gets the best player in a multi trade usually comes out the winner. That Blazers core even with whatever you get for Capela is a good-very good team but it is not winning you any titles.
Two and a half players in the nba have more value than harden. Giannis Kawhi Zion - 0.5 because of duke hype.
It is not simply about wins/loses even though that plays a big factor. Klay is not in the same class as Harden. Klay is a star player but he is not a franchise player you build your team around. That team is built around Curry just like this team is built around Harden. Curry and Harden run the team offense. They create their own shots and create for others. A team run by Klay is not going ot get you the wins that Curry and Harden get you.
There's no such thing as a good sweep. Harden's squad playef better vs the champs. Lillards squad was a no show
Lillard and McCollum are the worst defensive backcourt in the nba history. That is the thing I figured out. But espn said, they are 2nd best in nba.
As of right now the poll score is 90-3. ....with 90 people that wouldn't even entertain the idea of trading Harden for Lollard ...and 3 people that are smoking some really strong stuff. Wow. Even worse than Blazers 1-12 game record in the playoffs against the Warriors over the last 3 seasons lol. I have made the poll public so that we can see who closet Blazer fans are.
Here are my reasons: 1. CP3 and Anthony Davis could be deadly combination. 2. AD is much younger and many years left. 3. Kobe Bryant has been proven right about his opinion that Rockets can't win championship with Harden dominating ball.
1. Maybe CP3 of 5 years ago and even then no. CP3 of 5 years ago + harden would stila be a deadlier combo. 2. Harden is not exactly old and he has peaked much better and gets better team results when it comes to winning. 3. Kobe Bryant would not have a single championship if he went up against the Warriors. Also, he dominated the ball just as much as Harden if not more.
Only folks I'd consider trading Harden for in a 1 for 1 move: Giannis - No brainer assuming he's committed to re-signing based on his age and potential to get better. Kawhi (his being an FA messes it up, but assuming you get him on a max long term deal) - No brainer if healthy, but the health and availability concerns don't make this an obvious slam dunk. KD (same contract assumption as Kawhi) - Harder to stop in the playoffs when the defense is fully focused and committed to stopping both. Also added value as a rim protector. AD - Would have to commit to resigning and still a tough call based on injury history and lack of leadership. Age is the main advantage. Maybe Zion with a strategy to have a complete fire sale, tank and rebuild. I guess you could possibly consider Doncic under the same calculus as Zion. But I don't think we're at this point, especially if KD leaves the Warriors. Those are the only players I think you could remotely consider.
No.3 is just assummption. I can also say that Kobe/Shaq with the clutch shooter Robert Horry would have easily beaten Warriors in my opinion. I do still think Warriors is an overrated team. This year's Rockets team wasn't a championship caliber team with no SF/PF.
