Love would fit our system more than Dwight Dwight would fit with Kyrie being the guy who has the ball the most I would do it
You usually don't get fair value for a superstar but I have to believe that they can help Harden change his defensive woes then they can help Love given his age and potential.
I would not do it straight up, but if we could get Love & Shumpert that would be a different story! The only reason I would even consider trading Howard is his inability to make free throws! That's (IMO) is going to be a MAJOR problem come playoff time, the Hack-a-Howard totally disrupts the offensive flow of the game and makes him a liability! I'm not sure Shumpert can be traded again at this point, so this is probably a pipe dream to begin with! ....... ....... .......
Then you don't trade the superstar. Love is a loser who just puts up empty stats. Minnesota actually had good teams the past couple of years. A true star would have carried them to the playoffs at least. Most of the posters here wouldn't even trade Dwight for Love in fantasy basketball. Let's be realistic. I'd trade Dwight...for Marc Gasol. Or for a prime Andrew Bynum. But that's not happening. Those are the only two players in the last 5 years at that position that have had as much of an impact as Dwight.
ya even though dwight is declining... you could see it against rudy gobert of the jazz... despite opposing players' length, dwight still grabs the boards and has impeccable positioning. his size and strength is not to be under-rated. sure he doesn't jump like he used to, but who does? kevin love for dwight is not an upgrade for houston.
hell no, love is a loser empty stat padder. and no defensive ability whatsover. disastrous combination for a team with weak coaching.
I am stunned that people still dont realize Love is a pancake. completely useless on the defensive end, and not a winner, cannot lead his team to victory. I wouldnt trade Ariza for him.
Kevin Love is a loser. He's never played on a winning team. Yes, he puts up a double double every night....If you're not elevating your team, what good is it.
I would consider if we had Asik. Now it's too late. Trading Howard for Love might improve the offense, but would give up too much defense to be a net gain for us. BTW, I assume that if we traded Howard for Love, we would get some other assets as sweetener. Howard has a higher market value as a trade asset than Love.
Seriously. The Cavs have TWO all-stars still playing and without Lebron they STILL can't win games. Irving is better than Love but man both of those dudes are suspect when it comes to discussing "Empty Stat Padders"
You guys saying you would trade Dwight for Kevin Love are smoking something. You are undervaluing Dwight as a rim protector. I'm embarrassed at this thread...
I think Dwight is breaking down. If you can trade him now and get a star player in return, I would do it. We have Dwight for two more season after this season. He's only going to get worse. We survived without Dwight earlier this season. I would be shocked if Morey traded Dwight. Morey chased after Dwight for so long, I don't see him giving him up. However, Morey has surprised us in the past.
No, even the Love's coach said he is not a max-player yet, so just say "No" for Love. By the way, if Morey is willing to make this trade, will his reputation as a GM suffer a big hit? We all know that Howard took less money to join us.
In 2010-2011 their team block % was 7th 9th in 2011-2012 9th in 2012-2013 In 2013-2014 they were 16th, but they obviously fell off in a few ways last year. So while they were not elite-elite, they were at least top 10. Which no team starting Love and DMo down low ever would be.
