So long as we're working with D'antoni's philosophy of 4 wings and a rolling center, no - we do not trade one of the best rolling centers unless it's for a better rolling center. Only if the player we're receiving is good enough to change up the entire team's philosophy e.g. Lebron James, then we can fancy the possibility. I'm of the belief that Clint could have demanded more money and held out longer. Once we lost out on the Lebron sweepstakes, there's no one in FA (minus KD) that I think would have convinced Morey and Coach to change up the philosophy. We highlight how much Clint needed James and Chris to create his production to demand such a contract, but our need of him was just as significant to maintain a thriving D'Antoni offense. If we got Jimmy, we would be talking about how he fits into D'Antoni's current offense. What I'm essentially saying is.... Lebron + Harden + CP3 >>> Clint + Harden + CP3 > Butler + Harden + CP3 What I'm also saying is... Lebron's a sellout.
