Lighten up. My sister lives in LA and I have a really cool Dodgers hat I like to wear. I obviously love the Astros more, but the Dodgers are my NL team. I forgot it's sacrilege to like anything other than our GREAT Houston teams
Honestly, I have found it hard to watch the rockets this season more than the previous 30. I have watched bad coaching and bad players in the last three decades but watching this apathetic group of people dribble the life out of Rocket Basketball has encouraged me to watch reruns of Barney and Friends instead. At least Barney played with his friends.
I'll watch some games but it won't be a priority for me to watch and the team won't get any of my $$.
MIKE DANTONI HAS THE BESG OFFENSE IN THE WORLD REP THIS MAN HES TELLING THE TRUTH DANTONI WILL LEAD US TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP EVEN THO THST DOESNT MAYTER CAUSE WERE ALREADY CHAMPIONS
I didn't really watch any of this previous year, because I knew that the WCF was a fluke of a season, and I felt an impending doom for the subsequent season. I kept up with things, more or less, on here, and when I never got any indication that they'd gotten their act straightened up, I just put time I'd be frustrated instead of entertained to better use. Same rules apply from this point: they can prove that they're worth watching again. If they're actually considering D'Antoni just to sway Dwight to opt out, that's flat out disgusting. I deal with enough business hiring and firing idiocy at work to feel like watching a couple more hours of it on TV when I get home.
Hardly saw any games last year. I'm too old to watch divas pretend to play basketball. I grew up watching 90's ball. Hard nosed defense, hand checking, low scoring, rivalries, no foul unless there is blood playoff ball. Watching Mr. Kardashian and Superboy aimlessly wander around the court doesn't do it for me.
Come on. Of course I would still watch the Rockets. I'm a fan of the team, not any one player or any one coach. I want the team to do well and I root for them- no matter who is coaching or who is playing. Sure, there are times when we have a player that I'm not a fan of and I want us to trade. Or a coach we have that I don't like and I want us to fire. And sure, I really really really hope that we do not hire D'Antoni. But even still, as long as they are on the Rockets, I will be rooting for them to succeed.
If you can change being a fan for a team just based on something so temporary such as who the coach is, that sounds like a pretty good sign of bandwagon fan.
I almost stopped watching during the Pippen time. Fortunately Pippen invited himself out of the Rockets organization (though not without costing us a lot). I am getting very disillusioned with the direction of this team. During the past season, I have come to feel numb. You know you have lost your love for a team when you don't get mad when they lose. That's how I have been feeling. Morey is a smart GM, having upgraded the talent level on the fly. But in the process, he shuffled out all the players I liked and brought in a bunch of players I disliked. Now if they do bring in D'Antoni, it might just be the last straw. BTW, OP should give a "Maybe" choice to the poll.
Yes, but I wouldn't financially support the team in any way or manner and I'll be whining about it the moment they remotely suck. Kinda like Carl Herrera and DD have done since all their crushes have left the team.
Would I support the team??? Who doesn't want to see Harden coming off a screen driving a hovercraft down the paint for an lay up.
