Read the post. I'm not comparing his game to those two guys, but the simple fact that he has a national fanbase, a contigent that roots for him and follows him irrespective of whatever team he might play for. Michael had that. Kobe has that. And Lin has that. Read the post.

They won't ever stop until he gets traded: it's a conspiracy.

The funny thing is...I actually think both Livingston and TDouglas were better point guards than Bev. Bev's still good though. He's simply not wired though to be the slow-and-steady type that's needed in a starting point guard.

I am a rockets fan because of Yao.
If he is traded I guess I will have a third team again.

Pretty much all Lakers fans endorse Kobe at the expense of the rest of the team

Even though Kobe is a better player than Lin, I'm wondering if that any different or better in your opinion?

U know I actually questioned what I would think about senerio before. I have always been a Gator fan as well as a Rocket fan. Born in Florida and lived in Missouri for most my life. I jumped on Rockets because Olajuwon. During Jordan era I only was Rocket fan. To see a Gator join my fav pro team was one of my greatest sports moments! I know I would be upset but I don't think I could turn against Rockets. Of all the former Gators I honestly don't follow them as much because they are not Rockets even though I still like them. Parsons is my fav player and I know I would still follow his career and he prob would be the only guy I would say is my fav player even if he wasn't with Rockets but Rockets always be my fav pro team. Too many years invested in them lol.

    Linportant threads are Linportant.

A more interesting question would be, if the Rockets moved out of Houston, would you still be a fan?

Hmmm. That's a good question. A better question though might be...what if the Rockets moved out of Houston and another NBA team moved in: who would you root for? And don't say, which-ever team Jeremy Lin is on!!!!

What?? Lin at no point in time has hit the popularity that Kobe and MJ had/has.

Having said that I don't have any issue of people being a fan of Lin at all, just don't pretend you're a Rockets fan if you are one of the people who would leave rooting for the Rockets if he ever went somewhere else (I'm not saying that's you).

If you're offended by this question.... You might be a LOF - Jeff Foxworthy

But seriously, the name on the front of the jersey has always been more important than the name on the back. Which is why most of us aren't Raptors fans today.

Rockets fan. I really like Lin but if traded I would only wish him God's best wherever else he goes as long as he is not playing against us.

No, in fact that would be the perfect time to trade him. You gotta buy low and sell high.
