The thing about DMs tendency to go all in for that 3rd guy, is it tends to blow up on us. See CP25 signing with Dallas while we courted Bosh.

Butler is an unknown commodity as to how he fits with CP3 and Harden, whereas Clint and EG are low profile good players. Low ego and don’t rock the boat guys. Even when EG said he wasn’t having fun, it was glossed over. Butler sank the TWolves and threw his teammates under the bus and only because he wasn’t the best player in Philly did he not sabotage that in the beginning.

We overpaid for EG in the summer of the cap balloon so his final year of a big contract is attractive in trade, but Jeezus, this man can shoot from Conroe for three and splash it 30 plus percent of the time... he’s a spacer and Clint is a dive to the hoop run the floor C that is found NOWHERE else in the league. And the chemistry between James a Clint is off the charts.

Will I miss them IF they get traded, not sure. But WE will.

I don’t know if Butler is the answer. But it seems like Morey and Fertita are all in.

Part of me wonders if losing the production of Gordon and Capela is too much but it depends on who their replacements will be, I guess. Feigen's article mentions the inflexibility of roster moves the hard cap will cause and that is making me wonder how Morey will fill out the roster. Is Hartenstein going to be the starter?

Be emotionally attached to the team

Don't get emotionally attached to any one player or even the GM

i'm gonna miss EG for sure. he's the funniest guy in the team. play solid 1 on 1 defense as well.
capela is replaceable. we'll get DJ or some tall dude .

Yes, EG a lot more than Capela. Clint is good against most teams but is useless against GS. He struggles against physical guys like Adams too.

I would miss them both. For all of Capela's faults, he fits in with our style of play and we need his hussle and inside presence to finish lobs and defend.

EG went through a rough patch during the regular season but he lifted his playoff performance dramatically. Averaged 18ppg and shot 40% from deep. He kept us in many games we had no business being in.

Unpopular opinion but I would give up Tucker before either of those two.

The only way it could have blown up more is if...we had been successful and been stuck with with Parsons and Bosh.

    I would've never thought that.
