Would you include Canaan in a trade for Gogi or Rondo?

Both Dragic and Rondo are basically rentals, in line for near max money this off season. I personally would never tie up as much $ in either one of them as Harden is currently earning. Canaan is on the books for under $1M till the summer of 2016.

How much is Bev going to cost this off season? IMHO much less than people believe. The Rockets might be able to retain him for $5M or less a year. There is absolutely nothing flashy about his game that would attract FO attention.

I would think that most people believe that a healthy Canaan and Bev can more than adequately hold done the PG position, especially playing next to Harden. Why spend almost 3X their salaries for a long term near max player soon to be on the wrong side of 30?

Because of the three star philosophy.

I don't think Morey cares about the position or age that much

If, nay when, the Rox play late into May then June players who were yawners become targets. It happens to players and teams every year.

I will happily pay to play into June; and then Pa - - made!

I personally would not call either one of them a star. Harden is a star. At most whatever level is below a star.

    Agree with you on Dragic.

    Not sure what Morey thinks.

There's no way his stock didn't fall after last night. He's going to have to prove himself again.

We don't need more guards. Front court depth is the much bigger concern.

    Guys.

I wish we could just wait until our squad if fully healthy before actually trying to upgrade a position. I know Beverley is rarely healthy though... and Jones is looking like he'll be out for a few more months.. but still. I wish we could just look at this squad at full health. ):

It would be damn foolish to allow Beverley to walk. He should be back.

I agree, though. Keep Canaan, or else the Rockets have literally one player who can create his own offense.

And who's gonna create plays for everybody else????? Just double team hardeen and we are done along with ur pf. With rondo u have two legitimate play makers and it's gonna be hard for anyone ..... Bottom line.... I'm just glad ur not the GM.

Of course. I would happily give up 1 of the 2.

Dragic is having a down year in phoenix because of the 3 pg system. He is a 3rd star though and worth $13 mil per. Maybe a 4 yr, $52 mil contract since he hasn't had a great year. Don't think he's getting max money as there is a pg abundance.

I feel rondo can be had for cheaper.

Canaan I feel is a lesser AB. He can shoot the rock, but other than that, I havent seen anything that stands out to me. He's got decent handles, and he's tough, but his decision making can be suspect at times. I know he's still young and developing, so I wont put too much on it. He's still got a lot of potential.

As of the window situation with Harden and Howard, yes make a trade that puts us over the top for contention since we only have a 2 year gap. I do agree we need an upgrade at PG however our front court depth aka PF and C position have been weak and thinning. I'd like to make a move for a serviceable big, especially with Jones potentially out all year. As to who I'd like to go for, I haven't put any effort into seeing who's available, so I wont throw any names out there. But I'd think with Harden being the primary ball handler and distributor anyway, PG is probably behind PF but ahead of backup C since Dwight should be back any day now.

Yes, I hate to say it but...give him up and any of the back up shooting guards. Bring Sergio Llul over if possible.
