I think you've jumped off topic to what I was replying to. We aren't discussing whether we agree with the message, the protest, or reasons for the protest. You implied to a poster that he must be anti free speech if he found kneeling during the anthem disrespectful. I was saying that's not necessarily the case.

Why do you insist on creating false dichotomies? It's this exact thing that creates division.

Believing you should stand for the flag is in no way related to racism on it's own merit, and forcing people to disrespect veterans in fear that they will be seen as racists is completely insane, and will change nothing.

I mean seriously, haven't any of these people read letters from Birmingham jail? Or Nelson Mandela? Or Ghandi? The only time civil rights movements actually succeed are when outsiders can support your cause while giving up as little as possible.

It's the reason BLM won't work, it's the reason kneeling will change nothing. People ARE willing to change, but if you ask them to give up ideals that they hold dear in the process, you will gain no allies, no traction, and your movement will die in its crib.

You have to illustrate injustice. You have to make it real for someone that could never possibly experience it on their own. What we're doing today is counter productive, and will only cause further divide.

Just like the people triggered by a knee bend. In fact it's worse because people triggered by the fact that humans have such fragile sensibilities to be triggered by a knee bend seems rational and expected.

Not voting in the r****ded poll.

Idk why people feel the need to shove their political/religious views down everyone's throat. Actually wait I do, the people who feel the need to shove **** down everyone's throat don't know **** and don't give a **** all they care about is attention whoring. Keep your views to your fking self like a fking adult.

Yes I understand there's is some who actually care but guess what it's a minuscule percentage. Social media is killing our generation(s).

It truly made for some hilarious evenings seeing dudes almost make it before a SNCO chews a new ******* out of them.

I did it plenty of times also. We all did.

There isn't some sacred law that protests need to be done perfectly. They should be judged by what they represent and how they do it. Both are fine in this case IMO

Some teams (like the Texans) prefer to react to this kind of situation using the "we lock arms together and stand together" strategy, which is the worse choice of all.

Let your players to decide what they want to do, if they prefer to vote then let them vote, and then either all stand or all sit or all knee. Or if they will prefer no vote, just let individuals to make their decisions, fine, let them do that.

By forcing everyone doing the same locking arm sh't together is just the same as what people will follow in North Korea.
