Always thought your signature was just a clever play on words/situation, but you seriously believe "MJ not facing MJ" means anything remotely valid ? I will gladly accept all championships though.
A chip is a chip doesn’t matter how you get it. The warriors got one but hurting Kawhi and Lakers got it by buying the refs against the kings. And you can go back to all the seasons and find something. But most people don’t remember anything else but who won the chip or if you won a championship or not.
Ask the Warriors fans how they view their championship when they faced every team without their starting PG, and a couple without their starting PF on top of that. (if memory serves me correctly)
The Rockets don't even have to win a championship to get an asterisk.. ESPN has already given them one! www.espn.com/nba/standings
Mainly just pointing out the ridiculousness of the argument. To say that team X doesn’t deserve a championship because team Y didn’t have a particular player is just silly.
Deserve and tainted aren't quite the same words, but I get your drift. ANY 1994 winner would've been questioned - with OBVIOUS and LEGIT reason.. 1995 less so, but still easily questioned too. The MAIN team that would've been disrespected is the Big, Bad, media-capital NEW YORK Knicks, since the Bulls always beat them. Their winning would've been so conspicuous that their players, fans, and media would have been publicly thanking Mike for retiring. They would still be thanking him today. My main problem about the situation is 5-1 isn't spoken enough during Rockets-Bulls debates.
I was going to say something similar. I doubt Warriors bandwagoners care about their asterisk championship, I doubt Rockets fans would either.
You know what would have been a good answer to this poll. No answer. Dont feed such a ridiculous question. Oh well to late
How does this dude still have the ability to create threads? Fool me once, shame on you, fool me a million times, shame on the admins.
The Rockets finished 41 games ahead of the Mavericks this season. If the Rockets forfeited every game after December 18, 2017, they would have still finished a game ahead of Dallas.
I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but asterisks on championships is not a real thing. If your proposal is that too many opponents have significant injuries, credit to the Rockets for staying relatively healthy. Managing injury risk is part of the competition.
