My dog's name is Dash - that's cool

Bro, please don't stir the pot. Let James do that.

Well they did complete one of the greatest comebacks in NBA history after taking Harden out of the game. Doesn't say much, though.

Hypothetically, if James quits basketball to become a full time DJ at a strip club, yes, we make the playoffs. We're stacked. It just gets a lot harder.

It would be harder, but not as hard as you may think. They would likely go and replace Harden with another scoring type guard. Someone not as good as Harden, but can score. Someone like Glen Rice Jr. could play that role.

the thread title should be like : which team can make the playoff without their best player !

In this case only 4 teams I can think off survive the loose.

Clev. less LBJ can make it only in the weak East
Spurs less LMA absolutely can make it
G.S less Curry with their perfect role players and coach.
Houston less Harden might drop something like 4 seeds but can make it.
then you might have 50/50 chances with Clip loosing CP .

It's a pointless thread because without Harden, the Rockets aren't doing anything. Whether they sneak in as the 8th seed or miss the playoffs and get the 12th pick is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. It's like asking, "If you broke your leg would you be screwed? Or extra screwed?"

If it's about whether the team can sustain injuries within the season? That's fairly relevant. Like how last year we did manage to keep things afloat with numerous injuries. But I've watched enough Yao/T-Mac injury seasons to honestly give a damn about what the Rockets would be like without Harden for an entire season. It's simply the end of the season. Everything else is basically irrelevant.

Yes this team would easily make the playoffs.

and for the record Dwight > Harden in the past couple POs

For those saying we are not a playoff team without Harden, what makes this team any worse than the Nuggets roster who won 57 games with Ty Lawson at the helm not even 3 years ago?

    Their rotation:
    Ty Lawson/Andre Miller
    Iguodala/Evan Fournier
    Gallanari/Corey Brewer
    Kenneth Faried/Wilson Chandler
    Kostas Koufos/Javale McGee

If this roster is capable of winning 57 games, why not this roster without James Harden?

    Lawson/Beverley/Terry
    Brewer/Thornton/McDaniels
    Ariza/McDaniels/Dekker
    Dmo/Jones/Harell
    Dwight/Capela/Hayes

This roster is an even more formidable rotation imo, plus we have all the veteran leadership that they never had. I don't know why ya'll are being such drama queens and writing us off as soon as a hypothetical worst case scenario comes up in the conversation.

    Cheke approves of this thread.

    Also actively prays for it.

Except his version is no Harden and no playoffs.
