Would we have won last night if Omer Asik was still a rocket?

This is dumb. How many teams have 2 starting centers on their team? Most teams barely have one starting C. We still gave up less than 100. Unless Asik learned how to score yesterday was a loss. Can we please stop crying over Ask? Chicago let him go too because their starting C is better. If we keep playing team D like this we will be fine.

We lost in the first round of the Play-offs last year with Lin, Parsons and Asik.

All these guys some are upset about losing.

Maybe we should have just kept all three.

Would we have won tonight if hakeem olajuwon came out of retirement and played against the Golden State Warriors? Probably not. Dont know if he can still Shake.

its obvious that we need a backup center who can protect the paint. if asik were on the team we wouldn't have ariza and he'd probably still be refusing to play. he wouldn't be the answer.

i think we should cut black and sign JO or okafor.

I would go with yes as well, but I also think we would have won if we had Jones, Bev or Asik. They were not the better team, we just got tired and they had more subs.

We definitely miss Asik now. But trading him netted us a total sum of Ariza, Terry, a 1st, And 2 2nd round picks, so hard to say that is a horrible trade.

I was at the game last night court side. There is one thing I can absolutely tell you. Golden State is not an all world team an d we own those guys...yes, we lost, but, we were in that game to the end down three starters. They have no answer for our firepower. Next game at full strength will be very different.

FYI, I was also court side at the the SA game. These two games were completely different. SA never had a chance and was never in it. GS had to work to the end to beat a depleted team that is clearly better than they are. Do not let the Barbosas fool you. They are not as deep as the known names would suggest.

The Rockets are very good team even two starters down (Beverly/Jones) and an exceptional team at full strength.

Ask does not play into this as he was never going to be here anyway. Also, DMo played a hell of a game. Easily his best as a Rocket. If he could just be that active with Dwight and this team becomes a nightmare to handle.

Yes...we have too many undersized unproductive scrubs on our bench. In addition, the poor coaching really hurt uta because they were running no plays.

On the bright side, our defense was decent and Canaan looked good.

As a dimensional traveler, I can tell you that in the alternate universe that Asik was not traded, he was listed as “DNP – left thigh contusion” for every single game so far this season. Will be out until end of the season... or until he dons another uniform.

This thread is irrelevant. Asik is not here because he didn't want to be here. Pointless argument.

We may have lost the other 6 games with him on the bench.

SO, you dont like Trevor Ariza and Jason Terry? Because they are both here due to Asik trade.... yep, it was so bad. Wonder what else is in your book...

Remember that one game Asik got on the court and was half-assing so bMcHale benched him for the rest of the game. ASIK DIDN"T WANT TO BE IN HOUSTON. Why do people forget this?

GS was going into the paint for layups without even the slightest hesitation. Bet Kerr told them at halftime there is nothing to fear in the middle w/o Dwight!
