Dickerson was better than Mobley and I wish we would have traded Mobley insteed of Dickerson for Francis. I realy liked him in his rookie season.
Dickerson is a role player, nothing more - nothing less. Mobley on the other hand is one of the best one on one players in the NBA with one of the most underrated defenses. Mobley may turn out to be a role player for the Rockets, but the ability to be something more, makes him that much better.
actually i think the problem with Dickerson injuries is he actually left his groin in Houston when he was traded, CD is a rather sneaky GM, making sure his groin wasn't included in the trade
Its too bad Dickerson has had injury problems, because he is a great player. He is a better defensive player than Mobley, and he is also better in transition. Mobley, on the other hand, is a better scorer and jump shooter. With Francis and Ming as the first options now, Mobley is a better fit for this team.
When he's healthy, no one's faster than Dickerson. When we made the trade, I'd have rather kept him and dealt Mobley. But there is NO way I'd do this trade now. Mobley's got that intangible will to win, which Dickerson it seems will never have. He actually seems too shy to me to be a clutch player. And he doesn't seem terribly likely to improve. Sky's the limit for Mobley. He needs to get smarter, but he will. And nobody wants to win more than he does. You can't put a price on that.
Whats with wanting all these Grizzlies?? Isnt Francis enough? I mean I hear "trade for Swift", "trade for Battier", now Dickerson? I think Dickerson's best years are behind him now.
