No, but Dwight-Harden-Smith-Parsons would be the best big-4

Who knows? I thought the Lakers were the best team last year on paper. You just never know how the chemistry is going to work. I will say it definitely increases your chances for success as a team when you have better players.

That's because their gm thought two completely redundant skillsets in Gasol/Howard and Kobe/Nash would be legendary.

The media was shocked, the rest of the league wasn't.

Um, Wade and excellent defender do not go in the same sentence. Do not let the shot-blocking numbers fool you.

That's true, but I don't know if I really want to build a team based on stopping one player. Were he in our conference I'd be more willing to do such a thing. As it stands now, I want offense and floor spacing.

I would trade Harden and Dwight for one Lebron. He's that good.

    Durant > Harden
    Westbrook < Dwight
    Ibaka > Smith

Howard a few years ago would be, but he hasn't looked the same the last 2 years. To me, Howard & Harden are about equals. They are likely the best at their positions, but both positions are relatively weak in the NBA right now.

How is Smith the more versatile offensive player? Ibaka can actually shoot. Smith is better at driving, but doesn't do it often enough. I wouldn't say Smith is necessarily a better defender. I'd say he might be more versatile defensively. Both are much better help defenders (ELITE) than on ball defenders (Depends a lot on who they are defending).

Wade was a good defender. Not as much anymore.

    Excellent B-Team big 3....

Better than EVERYONE else *except* the A-team big 3 and you all know who that is...

He's a near all-star. Good, not great. If he had the brain to match his talent (or the jump shot to match his shot selection) he'd be a superstar.

I don't consider Josh Smith good enough to be part of the "Big 3", so no. He can't score at will. To be honest, he's not really a good fit here.

Really? Harden never impressed me as a very good defensive player.

I think Asik, Lin, Parsons would be a better combination than Smith, Parsons.

We don't need a big 3, and it is pretty tough to be the best big 3 when you don't have Lebron.

Lebron + any 2 top 50 players, is pretty much best big 3.

2nd or 3rd best big 3; w/ Parsons, certainly the best big 4!
