I am going to Cynthia Woods tonight and cannot leave until 6pm. The show starts at 7:30 and I want to see the opener. I am worried about getting in some cluster**** traffic and missing them. If leaving from the 610 & Richmond, would Hardy Toll Road or 45 HOV lane be quicker with four people?
Probably 45 HOV, but I wouldn't get too excited about seeing the Arctic Monkeys. It's the parking and getting to the seats that will cost you time as well.
Hardy no doubt. I never trust the HOV lanes, as they can be slower at times than 45. Hardy is your best bet.
you should be fine. Once you get past I-10 on 610, traffic should be ok and then take the hardy. Probably a solid hour to get up there.
45 is fine. Dont take Woodlands Pkwy exit, take the exit after (Lake Woodlands Dr). After taking the exit get into the right lane so you can take the roundabout onto Lake Woodlands Dr. This will lead you to the Market St. area. Park in the Cinemark garage or near Potbelly on Market St. Walk to the Pavillion. Use google maps to help clarify what I've described.
Tuesday Night Story Time With mlwoo : As I travel to the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion down I-45 and[CRASH!]
if you're leaving at 6pm, then the hardy would be better. The HOV lane drops off at 45/cypresswood and it's a clusterfu&^ from there all the way to woodlands parkway. And yes, skip the Woodlands Pkwy exit. That ramp is always backed up.
u can exit on rayford and sawdust and make a left at the light u can stay on that street and it well take u right to the Pavilion.
This. Anytime there are events that exit get's stacked (It's the one that's very high and curbs to the left) You want to get off on the next exit (it has two lanes to exit off the freeway, you'll see CHI, T-Mobile, and a few other stores on the right, get in your right hand lane as quickly as posible)
Arctic monkeys are a bit of a let down live. And that was during their first two cds. their last cd is even slower so i expect more standing and singing and little energy.
Yous guys did super. I took Hardy then exited where you said and parked in the Cinemark parking garage. I got in the gates at 7:20, just in time for a beer and to take my seat. More energy than I've ever seen from the Monkeys as well.
