I'm sure Arenas would love to be here, get away from the mess in DC. And of course, he'd love Texas' gun laws. He'd have to pick a new number though. I think Brooks has earned to wear zero.
He is the most perfect expiring as we can have back the exact ammount of dollars to make the trade work and save 5 million dollars in luxury tax (that would be 10 millions total savings) We would be sending McGrady's u$s 22.843.124 and getting back a total of u$s 18.237.570. That would mean that we save u$s 4.605.554 in salaries and u$s 4.605.554 in luxury tax. Making a total savings of u$s 9.211.108.
This trade MIGHT make us the 2nd best team in the West and before you laugh consider we are only currently 2 1/2 games behind the Mavs, who we just beat, for that spot with the EASIEST schedule in the NBA coming soon... McGrady+Dorsey for Butler/Blatche/Miller Brooks/Lowry Butler/Miller/Budinger Ariza/Battier/Budinger Scola/Landry/Hayes Blatche/Andersen/Hayes Just Saying....
i have no doubt morey can wait this out as interest will only go up from here. i, on the otherhand, am checking this forum and espn way too often as it is and can't hold out until feb...
Actually Yes BUT that team would be STACKED. He could come in to target individual players and stop them, my harder issue was Budinger not sure how Morey/Adelman would deal with him if that deal happens.
Not sure if that would launch us to 2nd best status but that is a very intriguing trade. Wizards say they will trade anyone, but I wonder if they would in one trade like this. We may have to throw a minor piece in, not sure. Seems that it is slightly favored towards us(to be expected ) but is actually realistic at the same time. But lastly, as you pointed out, where does CB fit in? And oh yeah, where is JT at? lol Not in the depth chart or trade. Did we send him home too?
Wow, Caron Butler would be perfect for us. Morey would finally get what he's been searching for since we had Ronnie. F Philly I'll take Caron Butler and whatever expirings they wanna throw our way. I doubt we'd get more than him, that's just asking too much.
I'd throw this at Washington: Wizards recieve: Tracy McGrady, Jermaine Taylor, and Joey Dorsey Rockets recieve: Caron Butler, Brendon Haywood, and Mike Miller. This trade seems more fair to both sides and gives us a better expiring presence inside with Haywood. Miller can shoot the lights out and of course prize numero uno is CB3.
Well JT and Cook I left out because it was more of an extended rotation then roster. CBud is the enigma really, not sure how that would work as he has played so well but at the very least if we do this trade sooner then later it could propel us to make a future trade with all those assets.
Several reasons. 1. KMart is more efficient and has been more efficient over his career. He draws fouls like Kyle Lowry and hits jumpers like Mike Miller. He has a career PPS of something like 1.4. 2. He moves better off the ball than both of the others. 3. I am convinced Butler has attitude issues. 4. Butler is a 3, and we need more of a 2. Kevin Martin already knows Adelman.............well. He will fit here like a glove.
