Turner is projected to go #2. The supposed, next Brandon Roy. There's no way that can be who Morey is targetting.

Morey is obviously targetting one of these bigs who can play backup C.

Yes, we have Hill and Hayes, but if all goes according to plan, Hill has got to be one of the pieces in a potential Bosh deal.

If not, like I said, the pick can probably play backup C to help out Yao.

To move up to 4, let's face it, one of our SF's are gone. Battier, Ariza or Buddinger along with the #14 pick.

espn had concerns about his motivation, comparing him to beasley in that regard. if that's anywhere near accurate i'd stay away.

I mean... not true, as you can see, Z's body has responded very well after surgeries (wasn't trying to be a fool, clarify it).

Funny thing is he never showed signs of not being motivated in College.

I don't know where that comes from.

Don't worry, Adelman, Yao, and Battier will chew his ass up if he even thinks of slacking off.

We are the perfect team for a player of Cousins' magnitute.

I think they look at him and think he has "maturity issues" of course he has "maturity issues" he's a freaking teenage boy.

Andrew Bynum still had a myspace when he was drafted.

These "maturity issues" are mostly overblown, but when they stick out people like to point to these supposed "warning flags" when in reality there are far more concerns squelched than justified.

Giving up two, especially those two, is a steep price.

Taking into consideration Shane is on the last leg of his deal. The Rockets won't have a replacement for him, like how they do now if they decide not to bring back Battier.

Minny needs a SF, but I dunno if Morey would do Shane like that, sending him to a bottom dweller/losing ballclub.

Pfft, Morey would take a dump in Shane Battier's baby's crib for a chance at Cousins.

i bet the clippers would be a good trade partner.

they don't need another big, and the lotto doesn't really have any shooters. worthy of the 8th pick. i'd bet they can trade down to #14 and take a guy like hayward or babbit while landing the rockets 2012 pick.

the rockets can leap in front of the jazz and steal a guy like monroe or udoh from them.

hurt the jazz + help the rockets = double win!

Getting the #3 or #4 should cost more than Buddy and #14 IMHO.

Buddy, Batty, & #14? Only if you think JT can play some time as a SF and are looking to get Favors or Cousins. A backup SF that is serviceable can be found in free agency. A backup and potentially starting C cannot be found in FA.

I also feel that Morey feels this way as well. Which means he knows people will discount Cousins, driving down his market value, which seems to be Morey's MO. I also believe that Morey will not burn all of his assets on draft night. Which means possibly that getting Cousins does not mean we are out of the running at a player like Bosh.

If anything Favors is the more hyped up one between these two bigs. He has Amar'e-esque athleticism but he has no footwork, plus he doesn't have the mindset to dominate the paint as Cousins does. Bigs with post moves and physical presence are really a rare breed nowadays.

I agree with this. I'm not impressed with Favors, seems like the more overhyped athletic big.

    Size always trumps athleticism.

    You can't teach 6-11, 270.
