(Woj) Spurs buyout DeMarre Carroll, Houston frontrunners to sign him

Rockets no longer speak "height" if they ever did under MDA.

The only language they understand now is skills AND length.

As in wingspan.

Small ball is not just our system, it's our DNA.

MDA already said no more half measures, he and Morey are doubling down.

I like Tyson and Harty personally, especially Clemons, but they have no place on our team anymore.

 

A traditional 5 I am okay in playing but in Harden only lineups is Bismack Biyombo.

Biyombo can play switch defense, perimeter or low post he is good. Also a disruptor in passing lanes, shot blocker and rebounding beast. And still 28.

Neither Tyson or Harty not have the ability to switch effectively. They are not just bad but horrible at this.

Hornets need to buy out Biyombo however.

 

ok to that point..even having a big in with harden is counter productive.....remember they trap n double harden now. so that would be just a guy they can rotate off of. the nba has decide to take harden away. why do u think russ is feasting. he has the abiltiy to dribble penetrate when they do that so thats why rockets are cool with it. a big would be able to do anything when the double harden...aka clint this year

 

Agreed, when Harden is doubled then MDA needs to put as many ball handlers/scorers on court around him.

Aside from Russ, that would be EGo and Rivers.

But this is where Jeff Green is so valuable. His passing, ball handling and ability to create is so underrated. Combine these skills with his length and athleticism and he will make opposing offenses pay.

This is yet another reason why I keep advocating for Bolden, Tyler Johnson and Dragan Bender.

All three are above average ball handlers and passers to go along with their ability to score from all 3 levels.

I am really hoping he turns out to starter, but off the bench he could be huge for the rockets. 8 pgg 5 rpg, just incase Mclemore drops out or what not. Mclemore may have to step his game up or he will lose his spot :0

 

DmC will never be the starter unless somebody gets injured, Harden/WB/EG/Tucker/Roco is gonna be the starting lineup.

However bench is up for grabs Rivers, Mclemore, House, Thabo, Green, DmC hell even Bruno that's 7 guys battling for 2-3 spots (3rd dude only gets half PT of 1-2nd bench).

Harty, Chandler and Clemons' season is over I'd be surprised if any of them get any PT this season.

 

DeMarre is yet to signed. What is the hold up? Is he thinking about some other team?

Except tonight, hopefully they get in the game around 11:00 pm cst tonight. If not, we are not starting well after the break. Well maybe not Harty, because i think he went to RGV.

im not sure why guys are so antsy but he must clear waivers first. and he isn't officially cleared til later today

 

Fans have been begging for wings for a while now. We want him signed and in house now lol. Rocket fans have been scarred over the years.

 

He won't be cleared till 4 pm today and then he will sign. I wouldn't worry about it. He's already on the roster in NBA2K for what it's worth.
