He doesn't have to flip them all, so if he's flipping almost $10m.... I hate to tell you, it sounds like those assets will be packaged with Gordon rather than Anderson.
Hard to see them flipped with Gordon. We have 1 point guard, 1 shooting guard, and james. If we trade Eric, we will have no depth at all, unable to even be available to fill the positions. Besides, if he goes for Melo, trade kicker would require Anderson to come close to the match.
This is a minor problem compared to the opportunity to put 3 stars together. There are plenty of people we can sign to fill out the bench, and pretty much all the remaining FA's would feel stronger about coming to Houston after that trade. I would kind of hate it, but if we're at risk of losing him to Cleveland and no opportunity to get Love, I'd do it. If anything, Melo will give us the same production as Gordon but at a position where it is more needed. The big problem I see then is what do we do with Ryno? OTOH maybe all this commotion is about Love.
I'm not sure about the Pablo Prigioni thing. Is he still getting p-a-y-d paid? Did Morey sign him to two years a season ago, for the express purpose of having a salary cap carcass for 2017? And if so, shouldn't he double-check to ensure Adam Silver's office won't go, "Woah, wait a minute" (although I don't know how many loopholes they closed). is the Prigioni inclusion here a mistake?
There might be a Pablo carcass up Morey's sleeves. Spoiler: for realz though Mistake. See the footnote at bottom "Option Voided" sourced to Woj. http://www.spotrac.com/nba/houston-rockets/pablo-prigioni-10998/
Bs ass report.... uninformed. Uthoff can't even be traded in an aggreegate trade for 2 months. He can only be traded str8 up. And what are we gonna get for that?
