I am no cap expert at all but I know that some of them, Ryan Kelly at least, becomes a guaranteed contract soon. So keeping him down the road would lose the whole appeal of trading him to another team- which is allowing that team to cut him to save money.
It's always interesting when Morey says one thing (to Simmons) and Woj sources the complete opposite. Many of us thought Morey was lying about keeping the NGs for later on the Simmons podcast. Maybe willing to, but sure hasn't stopped shopping.
