Seriously ... what is the record for most threads talking about the exact same thing? Regardless, it was eye opening to get the confirmation from Woj about the potential deal even though I still think Cleveland certainly has the ability to win the deal or make the Rockets gut their roster to pay for him. I have a feeling they are going to demand up to training camp: Ariza/Gordon/Capela and firsts. With Clevand they want Love. New York won't get that, but its the price to pay to beat the other team out now for both teams. But if Cleveland puts Love in the deal either going to NY or a third team we are done here. If neither team is willing to budge, this could go down to the start of training camp which is most likely. So buckle in for a long a$$ summer of endless Melo threads I guess.
I don't think they have that much leverage to get all of that or demand it. I think Morey would walk away if he thinks he is gonna get fleeced. Cleveland has just as much trash as us and they don't want to move Love. They just signed THJ and know they have to move Melo. Knicks are the one that are gonna have problems getting what they want in my opinion.
More like, now that the knicks are actually open to negotiations, it's time to take care of Harden first.
The Knicks have no leverage at all. Cleveland is not going to trade Kevin Love for a 33 year old Carmelo Anthony who could opt out next year along with Lebron.
I mean, we knew we've been trying to complete a deal to get Melo for some time now. The Knicks have to be wanting to complete a deal too.
Credit for what? The trade hasn't nearly happened yet and any idiot could have predicted Melo would eventually waive his no trade to go play with a banana boat partner. If he gives an exact time the trade goes down or the exact pieces in the trade maybe he's onto something. Right now though he just looks like a guy on the internet trying to look like an insider by hedging his bets on what he sees as a good gamble.
The guy has a legitimate history of calling out Knicks signings and trades before they happend Plus of it is with blazers involved that's also impressive on his part I actually don't think he's a bser
Of course that's true but they have two buyers and they have time. Right now he's not hurting anyone being on their roster. Unless there is a specific cap reason for moving him I don't see they have the leverage of time and multiple buyers.
