If we cut him it has to be looked at as even stevens. Guy signed knowing there is a risk to be cut. There is a risk to be cut because the NBA allows teams to cut players in this situation if they no longer fill the teams needs or meet the teams expectations. We signed him to a 10-day contract for him to be a three and d player. Thats what he was selling, being a 3 and d guy. He chose not to honor that ;) absolutely zero defense being played the past 2 games on his part while bricking as wide open three's as it gets tonight on the big stage infront of a national audience.

We wouldn't have signed him if he didn't. The whole reason we signed him was essentially for that game anyways since Ennis fell off a ladder at his house, cut his leg and thus was out. He was the Ennis replacement. Ennis is back as expected nulling Nunally. We still gave him a shot on the national stage.

And he sucks. 2 games now absolutely zero on both ends of the court. EZ cut.

It's not asking that much for the Rockets to keep him on the active roster for 10 days as stipulated by the contract, then part ways. Also, nobody was clamoring to cut him after the game Wednesday. Pretty much everyone here thought Money had plucked another gem from Europe.

A guy having one bad game isn't justification for not honoring a contract.

All of this is irrelevant. Nobody put a gun to Morey's head and forced him to offer Nunnally a 10-day contract. However, once he did, it should be honored.

Yeah... they can go ahead and just release Nunnally. Brings nothing on the defensive end and missed all his open 3s.

See you in Europe and bring on Faried!

10 days is max - honouring the deal means paying him whatever guaranteed money he was offered IF he is cut early. If he agreed to none, then it is none.

You have a very VERY limited grasp on NBA player movement economics. This is proven over many years. You love to think the players "deserve" to be treated like primadonnas (except for the stars, whom you tend to abhor being treated like primadonnas).

Players are assets because there are a very finite number of roster spots for all the basketball.players in the world to compete for. If Joe Average doesn't like it, Ben Average will jump to take non guaranteed money just for a chance to play NBA.

but but morey said he's a fitty percents shooter from the arc!

(conveniently leaving out that he was like the 4th or 5th best 3pt percentage shooter on his turkish team lol)

I didnt watch the last game he played but offensively this game he was just attrocious, his shooting form from 3 was bad fron the grt go, and these were wide open 3s. Like the man didn't just MISS his threes he totally bricked them while he was wide open

What? The rockets aren’t breaking any sort of agreement by cutting him. He will still get paid what he’s owed. Both sides agreed that the rockets can cut him at any time. That’s in the contract

It is a lot when a legitimate NBA player finally becomes available that you actually need and someone has to be let go for that player to be signed.

Nunally is a big boy, he knew theres a chance he wouldn't be here the whole 10 day duration. The unfortunate thing is there is no 3 day contracts. That is how the NBA works. It isn't as if it's a rarity that a 10 day in the NBA ends early. Fact is, he still got his chance on the national stage to show every NBA team what he brings to the table.
