    Eric Riley and Richard Petruska? Let them flash their championship rings at Dwight to lure him to the Rockets. Petruska can also share stories with him about what it's like to hold the Larry O'Brien Trophy....and then drop it.

    In the old days, that was true. Now? Who knows.

    - Clippers were 4-0 against the Lakers last year.

    - Clippers outdrew the Lakers in LA last year (Staples) for the first time in a full season since the Clippers moved to LA.

    - Lakers have new ownership.

    - Lakers aren't serious contenders next year given their current roster, including with Dwight.

    It's a new day. Lakers aren't even the best in their city, let alone the league. Like Boston and their banners, the old is out.

    For Kobe, who is nearing the end, you have to try to hold on to the past.

    The past -- and billboards -- don't win championships.

    Could be some tough times for Kobe ahead.

    Im sure if he had a choice he'd choose the Clippers right now over the Lakers
