This would likely be done as a sign and trade right?

What assets would we give up?

And we just made Harden the PG. But would welcome CP3.

I don't see how we can sign him without moving Ryan Anderson, but I don't think moving ryan is as difficult as some make it out to be. He was the best shooting big man in the NBA last season. shooting is valued a lot, especially from bigs.

    paul/bev
    gordon/lou
    harden/ariza
    harrell/Dekker/Qi
    capela/nene

still need a center and those are never easy to find, especially cheap

you guys seem to forget what it would mean if we traded Ryan Anderson. we would have to rely a lot more on our bigs going into a crowded paint and trying to score or create a basket

no, he is a little younger and a better defender. chris paul is a better playmaker and gets more steals...

and CP3 isn't just a better play maker, he's a waaaayyyy better play maker...they're in completely different tiers as orchestrators/floor generals

Lowry is not a better defender than Paul.

Paul is the best defensive PG in the league.

CP3 is just flat out the better player, he's also the better defender, better leader, and a much better play maker/floor general

CP3 shot 41% from 3 on 5 attempts a game this season and shoots 37% from deep for his career so he's an excellent shooter as well...

CP3 had far and away the best DRPM among PG's in the NBA, he was at 2.37 while the next closest was Bev at 1.37...Chris Paul also made All-Defensive 1st Team last year and will probably make it again so saying that Lowry is the better defender is just false...

i worry about his age more because of his injuries so his defense might decline. sure he is a smart player and thats working in his favor, but the games played dont lie.

he's always ready for the playoffs though I will give him that

Chris Paul is 32 and Kyle Lowry is 31 tho

Lowry only played in 60 games this year while CP3 played in 61

No thanks it will be Yao/T-Mac all over again. He will spend more time in a business suit than a playing uniform.

There are two big problems with CP3.

First is age isn't he pushing 30? This dude is about to slow down and age significantly like what happened to Dwight and Lebron. Second is he is demanding the max bit is barely over 6 ft. When the other team's best player is Kawhi and ir best player is 6'0 Chris Paul how will that work out for you? Kawhi can lock down CP3 in crunch time, can CP3 do the same? This is why I like backcourt of Harden, Bev and EG, there's a lot of size for either pg or sg slots.

We need to upgrade the frontcourt, replace Ariza with someone better and Anderson with someone who isnt a mental midget.

Fire isn't always good esp if you seem to be an arrogant prick like CP3. Harden is already a grown ass man and superstar in his own right he wont take **** from CP3 just like he didnt take **** from Dwight. But since Harden is an avoider when Cp3 confronts him Harden might just demand a trade. Getting cp3 imho has a big chance of destroying the team, when someone pisses of a laid back and chill guy lile Blake Griffin that dude is too intense for Harden.

Add me to the list of skeptics. HOWEVER, the rumors from the last few days have made me marginally excited about FA, even though I swore I wouldn't fall for the trap. :/

Chris Paul is getting older and has had knee issues. I say pass and pursue younger talent.

There are a lot of good young guards who could shine if given the opportunity.
