[Woj] Morey aggressive in all deals improving team even possibly Paul

How do you even trade CP3? That is one crazy contract. Morey is a magician if he paulls this off.

 

Rockets just need players that are good at shooting 3s, if all they’re going to do is shoot 3s.

 

I compared those 2 with other contracts from teams with their 2nd and 3rd highest salaries. Tucker is obviously tremendous value and CP3 is getting paid more than what he should but my point stands. CP3's contract is big but he's not a scrub at all the way people are making it seem. He just didn't play well enough to beat a historically great team. Rockets were still arguably the 2nd best team this year.

Rockets were always going to be around the cap after they offered Clint his deal. I'm fine with Cp3's deal if he plays at borderline all star level. He's not evan Turner level bad.

 

"Lakers as dumb as they are" lmao...i agree with Skip anyway, they might take Chris if Lebron push for him and if they don't get big names, but they won't trade a good package for him eventually, probably only Lonzo.

 

Instead of trading CP3 now for pennies to a dollar, we should have tried getting Ariza back.
They had great chemistry. We were definitely better with him and a healthy LMM than last year.

He’s getting paid about double his worth at this point. Given that it’s the max for 3 more years and a large chunk of your salary cap, that’s a terrible (possibly bottom 5) contract no matter who else you include in your comparison.

So who else would you give that contract to? Rockets are up against the cap anyway so what does it matter if it's not your personal money?

Here's my question. Would you rather CP3 at this contract or Eric Bledsoe at 17.5 mill annually?

 

The Suns can't be demoted to the second category. So long as this is still true, everything is possible with stupid teams, owners and GMs around.

 

What if you trade Capela to the Hawks for a pick(s). Then trade Chris Paul and that pick to Philadelphia for Jimmy Butler and sign a center in free agency.

Now the lineup has length and can really switch everything effectively. They can all shoot from 3, score in multiple ways, and defend.

 

What would the Sixers do with Ben Simmons now that they have Chris Paul as the point guard? Simmons can't shoot, he doesn't move well without hte ball, and can only play or be effective inside the paint. Plus, I doubt the Sixers would want to take on Chris Paul's contract just because they're nice.

Hey @Clutch, according to Kyler the Rockets could be looking for a lottery pick.

 

1) Steve Kyler is virtually always wrong

2) To humor him....there is -200% chance that we get a lottery pick for one of those guys

3) If we're going for picks instead of player upgrades, it looks like we are not interested in competing next year. Harden era fading away.

Free Agency you gotta move fast. The only person I can see take his time on his desicion is Kawhi.

All of this must happen day 1. For the Rockets to then trade Chris Paul into the lakers cap for Kuzma, and Hart and a first. At the same time we must acquire Jimmy Butler thru either the 25 mill that opened up or thru sign and trade for capela. That way Jimmy can get his max.

We would then revamp the team and have
Deandre/ Dedmon
PJ tucker
Kuzma
Butler/Hart
Harden/Gordon

All we would have to do is fine undervalued wings to complete the bench

 

Philly would never want CP3 when they have Ben Simmons.

I really doubt the Rockets are "aggressively" trying to move CP3 or Gordon. I could see them traded in a right deal, but he makes it sound like we're desperate to unload them.
