I get attached too but now is the time for change. If you have been checking the random trades thread I’ve been advocating for significant change to this roster sense our season ended. We just have to get better players who fit the system. Morey can use Clint, EG and picks to reshape this roster.

at this point clint/eg are this teams best chance to get a significant player. There aren't any realistic scenarios to move cp3/harden unless the mo is to just start over from scratch which doesn't sound like what morey is doing "desire to improve the roster"

see, the only thing is espn trade machine shows tyler johnson with a trade restriction that expires june 29...idk how thatd work if we're shooting for 6th overall and fillers to match cp's contract.

 

A stretch 4 or a deadly 3 would be the perfect compliment to Harden's game .give me a Patrick Beverly type over CP3 any day

 

If I was dealing with the Lakers , Kuzma would be the one player I demand in any scenario.

He may not be "as good as CP3" but he is easily a better fit than Cp3 next to Harden. He can play off of Harden rather than getting in Harden's way.

If you can move Cp3 for a quality 3/4 and keep Capela , Tucker and EG …. now you have the Full Non Tax MLE to offer to replace that secondary facilitator & the BAE for a bench player before you have to resort to minimum salary guys.
