    A lot of people simply don't want rondo. I do, and I'm curious if he is a guy you would be excited in adding.

    Gotta start with Wright and I'd imagine they're trying to trade fat, injured Felton. Maybe Nelson, one of those two point guards. Pick(s)? Of course that isn't going to get it done. They don't have any [prospects/young players]. So,...third team?

    Rondo will be best once Harden sits. He will facilitate the 2nd unit.

    The thing that limits Parsons' value isn't even the $15M/yr, it's the player option. If he plays like he is actually worth $15M, he can and will opt out to become an unrestricted FA after just one more season. If he doesn't play like he is worth $15M, then he will opt in and take up $15M in cap room.

    This really limits how helpful Parsons is to Boston's rebuild-- as either a potential keeper piece or as a trade asset.

    I just don't like Rondo on this team and he has shown very little on defense this year. I guess this could be a buy low opportunity, but I see Bev as a better fit.

    I don't think Rondo is the target for Morey.

    True but harden is playing 35 mins per game....so only so much staggering of mins you can achieve.

    but we don't want him to play that many mins. He's our main distributor and our main scorer. its hard to win in the playoffs without anyone else helping.

    Unless Mavs think Chan is a star and worth 17 mil.. or can agree to BWright under the table..

    Mavs have farrrr fewer assets.

    Ok, so you have a distributor for the 10 mins or so Harden rests. What will you do about the 35+ mins Harden and Howard plays? A dude like Rondo with a broken J will fit with the Rox less than how JLin fit with Harden.

    It's not like the Rox have 13 other guys who don't know how to score, guys like DMO, Canaan and Papi have shown the ability to create for themselves and others.

    It's kind of clear what is happening here and a few people have already said it. Dallas really has nothing to offer other than Parsons. It looks like Boston leaked this information to Woj so they can use the Mavericks as leverage against Houston. I think Dallas is just smoke screen for Boston. Don't see them trading Rondo to Dallas since Dallas simply doesn't have the trade chips.

    Rondo wouldn't help, he would hinder Harden and Howard because he can't shoot and other teams will sag off him and dare him to shoot every time. How much did JLin (who is good creator and distributor) help Harden and Howard out? He helped them so much he got benched in favor of Beverly.
