Lol I remember that draft day video when the Kings were deciding who they wanted to draft, and the owner went around the room asking everyone who they wanted. But he asked like this, "Stauskus or Payton... For me, Stauskus." The GM paused before saying Stauskus, and it seemed like he really didn't want Stauskus but did not want to do against the owner lolol I thought Malone did a good job. I think this is a case of the owner being too involved in the workings of a team.
It's not that he's Indian, it's just that he's incompetent and we don't want to dignify him with a name. So we call him the Indian owner because he's the only Indian NBA owner out there. It's not like you would generate any confusion by referring to the Indian NBA owner.
Since Adelman left or wasn't retained, Also the last time they had a winning season & made the playoffs Eric Musselman(06-07) Reggie Theus(07-09) Kenny Natt(09) Paul Westphal(09-12) Keith Smart(12-13) Mike Malone(13-14) Ty Corbin(14-15) ???(15-???)

To meet Vivek's expectations, Kings interim coach Ty Corbin must win an NBA championship before the end of 2014 or he'll also be fired.
— Jody Genessy (@DJJazzyJody) December 15, 2014
When I got the text from ESPN last night telling me about this I didn't understand why they would fire him. Glad to see I'm not the only one thoroughly confused.
I must say I've never thought of it this way before. I mean, I have no idea who the Spurs owner is, but I do think he's a smart owner. Not sure what that has anything to do with it. I think REEKO_HTOWN just said "Indian owner" the way people describe Prokorov as "Russian owner." I would say it has more to do with the owner being foreign than a different race. Whether such a thing is PC for owners who are not Americans I have no idea. I just tend to call owners "Team X owner."
Wow. Can't belive I'm getting called a racist because I FORGOT THE NAME of the owner and instead of butchering his name I just put Indian in front of it.
I think there must have been some sort of confrontation. I can see Malone having a heated exchange with either the GM, Mullin, or the owner himself. Incredibly stupid firing. It makes quite an impression on whomever they try to hire next. "Make yourself comfortable! Uh, yes, you can choose the chair facing away from the guillotine and the basket with the last coach's severed head in it. Now, let me explain our organization's expectations..."
lmao. it's like those jobs you take where the previous person barely lasted 6 months before getting fired. "ya i am not going to put up a picture of my family in the office.."
I imagine they have had behind the scene talks with someone else. If they pull in a Mark Jackson, I will lol hard though.
Lol, when I saw this last night.. I was like that's the dumbest move I've seen in ages. Fire a man because their best player is not on the floor and not putting up wins? That owner ship is HORRIBLE, you can tell by the Grantland video of the 2014 draft. Nothing but "yes" men who don't wanna tell the boss other.
Completely inexplicable, totally inexcusable firing. MUST be an office politics thing, because there's no damn way it could be a basketball thing.
George Karl? Spoiler http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports....next-kings-coach-george-karl-vinny-del-negro/

If I were a King's fan, I'd be very worried about this, because it reflects poorly on the owner. It will be interesting to see how they spin it.
