Fair point. He's no longer the alpha though. I guarantee you his efficiency rates increase next season.

Of course, feel free to rant. I've been around Houston sports a long time. Crippling blows are nothing new to me.

What Presti will get for him from Miami.
It will be either slightly negative value or neutral.

Because Presti doesnt have a blind owner forcing him.

I feel the same way for the most part.

I am stunned. Practically at a loss for words. So many thoughts.

People just need to chill and enjoy the ride at this point, personally i'm not exactly excited by the trade, but that's just because of the 2024/26 picks, which are not even guaranteed to be lost though.

As for the players i'm ok with swapping CP3 with Russ even if i'm not a fan of Westbrook, but at least he's 4 years younger and can still substain 82 games, this is something to consider, at this point we couldn't count enough on CP3 to carry that kind of load.

Worrying about CP3 and his health every game is something I'll never miss.

Clutch agrees with us, so you're fine. He posted on Twitter that this is the worst trade of the Morey era.

Westbrook may have a shorter prime, but as of now he is still in that prime. CP3 is already out of his, I'd argue the last year of his prime was his first season with us.

He also can run for 33 mins a night. He can be a useful alpha dog while harden is resting. Are we demonstrably better, no but we are better. Now find a PF and we are set

TBH, I believe that a straight up swap would be a fair deal. Both guys have huge flaws as the second star player.

Paul is older but has a shorter contract. Paul has already shown signs of decline while Westbrook is still playing at a high level. But Westbrook is predictably going to age much faster because of his style. Paul is a smarter play maker and a better shooter but has more trouble with officiating. Westbrook has more fire but makes dumb decisions and can't shoot consistently.

Oh he shoots VERY consistently. 20+ shots a night, pretty much every game!

I dont believe that Westbrook is still in his prime. He was far worse this season than last.

Ahhh so stars don't want to play with Westbrook. Which is why Harden told Tilman go get me Westbrook. But maybe he just doesn't know what it's like to play with Westbrook. Oh wait they played together before.

And the flip of that narrative: No stars want to play with Harden. Ohp! Here come Brodie!

It's all just a whole bunch of hogwash.

Except when they last played together neither of them was anywhere near the players they have become now.
Players want to come and play with Westbrook. Its after they do that they want to leave.

And since Hardens and Westbrooks fit is absolutely the worst possible imaginable there is ZERO reason to except anything different to happen.
