The lakers are going all in for a championship. Unlike us, they will go over the luxury cap by a lot in order to form a team that is favored to win a championship next season. By retaining some attractive young pieces (Kuzma, Muscala), they still might have the ability to swing a deal for a veteran player interested in joining the bunch...
Who? You can't just put some random all-star level player with Davis and ______ and tell me they're title contenders for "5+ years." Davis has played in 13 playoff games in 6 seasons. His ability to lead teams to playoff success is very much in question. Why should I believe that after LeBron, their roster will be better than the Thunder or Blazers or Warriors or Nuggets or even the Mavericks? I know with LeBron right now they can compete for a title, but not after he's done. They'll be competitive, but I'm talking about title contender. 1-2 year window.
This is going to be interesting. Who else will the Lakers add? For some reason I see LeBron breaking down, and Davis chronically injured. The Pels could be a fun team to watch. The three young Lakers, the 4th pick in the draft, and Zion.
Nah, they can’t. The only players on their roster making any sort of money now are Bron and AD. Can they just absorb him into their cap space?
I thought for sure Pellies would stick with the pick and take Garland, who I think is the best shooter in the draft. This is crazy. F5 season is upon us, and we're not even close to the start of FA yet.
Would've been a good trade if pelicans got Kuz, Lakers won this. Ball and Ingram may never be Allstars
Lol, Lebron even put a tweet out there weeks/months ago saying like "you can bet next season will be much better", dude already knew this was going to happen, wouldn't be shocked if he already knew Irving was going to leave Boston so they had basically no one able to beat them.
